About the ACBA

The Alameda County Beekeepers Association is a 100-year-old organization of people who love and care for bees. We’re proudly celebrating our centennial in 2016.

The Alameda County Beekeepers’ Association represents beekeepers and beekeeping interests for close to 1.5 million people in Alameda County.

A map of the geographic boundaries of Alameda County, California (credit google maps)The ACBA membership currently boasts of apiarists, beekeepers, and curious observers from Alameda, Albany, Bay Point, Berkeley, Burlingame, Castro Valley, Crockett, Dublin, Dutch Flat, El Cerrito, El Sobrante, Emeryville, Fremont, Grass Valley, Hayward, Kensington, Livermore, Oakland, Orem (UT), Orinda, Piedmont, Pleasanton, Redwood City, Richmond, San Jose, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, San Francisco, Sunol, Union City, Vallejo and Walnut Creek.

The ACBA also serves as an educational institution for beekeeping and urban and rural ecology within the Bay Area, leveraging member knowledge to provide beekeeping demonstrations, lectures, and programming throughout Northern California.
